Meeting of Vienna's Steering Committee

On 8th of May 2019, Vienna’s SMARTER TOGETHER Steering Committee met under the patronage of the Executive Councillor for Women and Housing Ms. Kathrin Gaál. It gave on one hand the occasion to revue the project activities, to deepen the current cooperation and to gather ideas for future common actions.

Smarter cities mean better quality of life

Across the globe, urban areas are expanding rapidly – by 2035, the world will house nearly 50 megacities with a population of more than 10 million inhabitants. While only two of these – Paris and London – are in Europe, many of the continent’s urban zones are growing. As they do, so too do concerns for quality of life and the environment.

Santiago de Compostela a Smart City in Historic Environment

UNESCO World Heritage City Santiago de Compostela, is a Follower City of Smarter Together and in this role, recently presented at the project’s General Assembly in Sofia, Bulgaria.
